animation and motion graphics

For as long as i’ve been making videos, i’ve been creating in After Effects.

Whether it was following tutorials on YouTube, creating motion graphics for some of my works, or just playing around with different effects/settings to see what I could come up with - After Effects is vital to almost every video I’ve ever created. One thing I like to make in After Effects is motion graphics. For most of my personal projects, I try to make custom animated title cards as it makes the project more unique and original besides using basic text. Here are some example title cards i’ve made for either personal projects or videography jobs.

AFTER EFFECTS PROJECTS

While After Effects is typically one of several programs I employ during video creation, the two projects mentioned were nearly entirely produced in After Effects. This emphasizes the software’s capability to manage diverse aspects of video production, from title animations to intricate visual effects, facilitating a comprehensive creative process.

Soda Wars: The Revival started out as a Photoshop piece, which I then converted to After Effects and animated. This project allowed me to explore various visual styles and animation techniques, resulting in a vibrant and engaging final product.

For Spaceman, I found newspaper articles around the time of the moon landing and animated them in 3D space. This approach provided a unique perspective on historical events, blending nostalgia with modern animation to create a captivating narrative experience.
